[fast5] Re: How do you know...

F5V-

My weight loss has not slowed one bit. It's been pretty fast and steady, which is why I feel like I need to moderate my loss at some point and figure out when enough is enough. The only time my loss slows is when I eat rice or whole grains. So my carb consumption is limited at this point to fruits, vegetables, and tubers.

Wow, thanks for the reminder of the goal weights in the F5 book. It says that I should be 106+ 6lbs for every inch over 5 feet. That would put me at 166lbs. That means I'm AT goal weight for being healthy. Though my BMI is just at the top end of the healthy spectrum (24.7) and most doctors charts say I could still stand to lose 5-10 more.

Like I said though, the weight is just falling off so I'm thrilled to actually see if I can get into the middle of the BMI scale and be right in the middle of the doctor's weight/height charts. I've NEVER been able to do this before and Fast-5 is making it possible. Yay Dr Bert!

Has your weight loss slowed? Are you going by the recommendations in the book for your target weight? Looking forward to hearing your progress. Your posts are always really informative and helpful. Thanks for that.

But I'm afraid the mindset that got me to this weight won't want to stop at 160. I guess I'll know once I get to 160. It was so exciting to hit 189, then 179, then 169. Why not 159?? I know plenty of guys who are my height and weigh between 155 and 160. The other thought is to ignore the scale and just get down to a weight that looks and feels healthy. But then there's always a pocket of adipose here or there that should go away and without a number I'm sort of at a loss to know when to stop. Height/weight charts say I should be 151-163 so that's what I'll go by.

So many folks think I'm getting too small and so I just hear all day long, "You're not going to get any smaller are you?" I'm not emaciated and I can't see my lower abs in the mirror yet so I'm going to keep going until I hit 159-160 or until I can see my lower abs.
