Hi ya, I don't think PGX will really have a dramatic effect on your insulin resistance -- it's not really a weight loss pill, it's just a fiber supplement. I've had friends that have used it and some liked it, some felt really gassy and bloated on it. "Intuitive eating" - if you think about it, that's pretty much the second primary point of Fast 5. Once you get used to eating within a certain window, it's not a matter of "hey, for five hours a day I can eat whatever I want and magically get lean." Look at it this way -- the mechanics of Fast5 allow your body to use the stores that it has available to use, during most of the day. When you said "when I stuff myself I'm not losing as well," I almost said "well, duh," but that's just me being silly. :-) If you took two overeaters with the same body type/weight and same amount of calorie intake, and put one on Fast 5 - they're both going to gain weight -- but my guess is that the Fast 5er will gain more slowly because at least there's a significant period of time where the body can use stored energy. I hope that makes sense! The point of the fasting mechanism is not to magically overcome the laws of physics (excess energy has to get stored somewhere!) -- it's just a way to better understand how your body uses stored energy and new energy, and how you can use that knowledge to teach your body to "use what's in the cupboard." :-) Phil --- On Sat, 2/13/10, afwitmer <afwitmer@yahoo.com> wrote:
