Also there is this: vitamins are often needed to process the food you
eat. So eating them on an empty stomach doesn't do much good.
And: some vitamins will give you stomach upset if your stomach is empty.
I personally don't think the caloric issue is the biggest issue,
though that exists also.
There are some pills that work better on an empty stomach, and those
are great for the "fasting" time. Vitamins aren't usually in that
category though.
