[fast5] Reduction in Small LDL on Fast-5

Several doctors have been after me to take statins or , in the case of an alternative doctor, red rice yeast and niacin, to lower my cholesterol.  This has been going on for a number of years now. I think the whole cholesterol thing is fear mongering and statin pushing  is  all wrong.  The only   cholesterol number that seems to  truly indicate any real danger is the small dense LDL. But I always had low triglycerides and high HDL .  I had read that *indicated* that my  high   LDL was predominantly the large puffy kind.  In October 0f 07 my LDL,  as part of the regular panel,i.e.,  not measured, was 228. In Feb of 2008 after being on Fast -5 for 6 months it was 154.  then I went off Fast-5, but stayed low carb, and by December it was 210

I decided to go back on Fast-5, and this time measure the LDL directly because that is the only way to really know if it  is large or small.

In December, on a low carb diet, small particle was 716.  In April, having been back on a low carb version of Fast-5 it was   314.  The test was an NMR.  The reference range for optimal LDL is below 600.

All this time I have eaten lots of saturated fat, by the way.
