(Where’s Rick with his great list of links for Intermittent Fasting groups who weight train?)
Cassie
From what I remember reading on the links that Rick might send thru…
On your heavier/harder lifting days, it might not hurt to have a shorter fast and then go the full 19 hours on lighter/easier lifting/resting days.
Fast5/Intermittent Fasting does not have to be an all or nothing sort of deal. Some days you might need a bit more.
But then, once you get firmly established Fast5ing, you might not feel the need to break your fast earlier.

thanks daniel.
the issue for me with eating right after i exercise is this - it's too early.
i work out first thing in the morning (around 8 am), to get it out of the way. if i break my fast around 9 am, my last meal will be around 2 pm. my fear is that i'll be so hungry by 6 or 7 pm, i'll start cheating and snacking.
i'm giving my body a week or 2 to adjust to this new eating program. if my energy doesn't come back, i might do as you suggest and hope that i won't get hungry in the evening.
thanks.

Post exercise is probably the best possible time to break the fast. Lighten the intensity of your workouts til your body adjusts.
