[fast5] Re: Plant based diet

i second that emotion!

hey, it's just like any preference in life, whether omnivore,
vegetarian, vegan, or fruitarian (i remember a friend of mine told me i
wasn't a true vegan because a true vegan would only eat foods that the
plant or tree gives freely ie fruits, nuts, seeds and i guess to a
certain degree he is right), eating style of intermittent fasting, fast
5ing, binging, purging, or caloric reduction, physical activity whether
a different styles of martial arts is the ultimate, or yoga,
weightlifting vs or bodyweight only exercise... and countless other ways
we live such as sobriety, intoxication, or recreational, monogamy,
swingers, or casual indiscretion, nudists, prudence... out of many
musics is there one best?

ditto for religions, spirituality, or philosophy...

in my unwritten book engraved on my heart, as long as you aren't forcing
people to do something against their will or physically harming them
because of their preferences then i say whatever floats your boat and
gets you through the night. i try not to subscribe to absolutes hence i
don't feel that vegan is right or wrong for everyone it's just a
personal choice, a conscious decision i make (hey tomorrow i could have
bacon and eggs for breakfast, a tuna melt for lunch, and a steak for
dinner; i just haven't felt like it for over 2 decades).

i am not condemming anyone for not being vegan (nor have i felt anyone
attacking me for being vegan in this group); my wife and kids are vegan
friendly but happily omnivore.

the main gist of this group is all about the fast5 lifestyle and the
challenges, trials and tribultaions it brings; it just so happens that
vegans and omnis who eat a mostly planty-based diets will have similar
scenarios and selections?

i'd have to say that in some ways i have more in common with other
fast5ers than i do with other vegans
