Go ahead and eat early if not feeling well. You can make it up easily the next day by fasting 20 consecutive hours, instead of your usual 19.
I sure wish he had called it a more descriptive Fast-19, but that 5 hour eating window probably gives it a better marketing ring. If you don't live on the ragged edge by using all of a 5 hour eating window every day, you'll have some additional consecutive fasting hours in the bank to handle slip-ups.
Say 18 hours, followed next day by a 20 hour fast, then 21 hours, back to 19 while giving you a 19 straight hours of fasting per day average week.
Don't be afraid to be Flexible, but Really concentrate on the consecutive Fasting hours, rather than Eating. Eating length of Time is not as important as eating sufficient quantity to carry you over to the next day. In short, after starting to eat, get started Fasting Early, instead of living your life around a 5 hour Eating Window. This gives you much more flexibility to cover the days you're simply in a mood to cheat and eat a bit early.
