[fast5] Re: Eating window differences?

This is the most frequently asked question regarding Fast-5. This is from the FAQ page on the Fast-5 website:

http://www.fast-5.com/content/faq

"Can I move my window to 3-8 or 1-6?
Yes. Any five-hour window should work. The primary reason for having the window late in the day is to avoid having a time after the window is closed during which one must resist temptations (and limbic hunger) until going to sleep. For some, this presents no problem, while for others, it is a significant one. Fast-fivers have been successful with all sorts of windows, from morning to mid-day to evening. "

However, if you gain 8 pounds every time you do Fast-5, it may not be the ideal approach for you. Does the weight subsequently come off? Have you been able to maintain the fasting period long enough (3 weeks or more) to get through the adjustment phase?

Best wishes,

Bert

Why is it that Dr.Herring created this plan to initiate eating at night? If I choose to eat in a 12-5pm window, would I be sacrificing the fat burning affect that this plan offers by fasting 19 hours (even if I still only eat within 5 consecutive hours)? I got on the scale this morning, and it reads 158, 8 pounds more than I normally weigh! What causes this? I love this way of life, but the weight gain that always happens to me everytime I do this is driving me CRAZY!! Thank you all for any input.
