I'm not sure it is time of day for eating that is important as much as eating early such as no later than 3:00 PM forces one to be in a longer fasting period with all of the evening and then night hours in fasting in addition to the following morning if you are going to also skip breakfast the next day.
"3 PM Secret" discusses not eating after 3 PM, to keep several hours before bedtime in a fasted state. Author relates to Sumo Wrestlers who want to be fat, since there are no weight divisions in Sumo and the biggest guy usually wins. They skip breakfast and work out in morning. Then have a large lunch and nap immediately after in the afternoon. Shortly before bed they eat several bowls of rice at night.
I've read some about groups of Germans with the habit of eating early with several hours before bedtime, I believe it was in the Fasting Yahoo Group quite a while ago. I had looked it up at that time but most were sites in German.
