There are some foods that raise the metabolic level, and some of us have noticed that it leads to a kind of "hot flash" effect. One of those foods is MCT, which I was taking when I was younger for weight loss (it's used instead of cooking oil by bodybuilders). It really DOES raise your metabolic level! Thing is, there is quite a bit of MCT in coconut oil, which is becoming popular again.

Ok, I have already googled this and only found out that it can happen after eating a large meal or food with certain ingredients or spices. So I am curious if you guys notice warming or outright flashes after you break your fast each day? I though it was hormones for me [but I am way past menopause so blaming that wouldn't work]. However, now that I am only eating in a window, that is the only time I have a flash, so it the eating.
And does anyone know the mechanism for flashes after eating? That I could not find.
Already noticing how much food I am NOT eating. By now, I would have been to the grocery store a number of times. Amazing and I wasn't even gaining weight on it, but I certainly wasn't losing any…
