Why is it that Dr.Herring created this plan to initiate eating at night? If I choose to eat in a 12-5pm window, would I be sacrificing the fat burning affect that this plan offers by fasting 19 hours (even if I still only eat within 5 consecutive hours)? I got on the scale this morning, and it reads 158, 8 pounds more than I normally weigh! What causes this? I love this way of life, but the weight gain that always happens to me everytime I do this is driving me CRAZY!! Thank you all for any input.

Warrior Diet is an Intermittent Fasting where the eating at night derives from and it was based on early people eating the meat from their kill around the campfire in the evening. There are schools of thought that eating a few hours before bedtime is better, especially in Germany.
I prefer to eat one meal a day around mid-day. I vary the meal time a bit yet am always going to fast for at least 19 consecutive hours. My goal with the one meal a day is really Fast-23, fasting 23 consecutive hours of fasting per day. Eat whenever you can squeeze in at least 19 hours of consecutive fasting hours per day.
High Animal Fat, Moderate Protein and almost NO carbs is what the meal is composed of.
High insulin levels slow fat loss.
More consecutive fasting hours, the lower the insulin level drops.
36 hours is not too long to fast with high metabolism levels maintained although more difficult than 24 hour fasts to accomplish.
Carbs cause the hormone insulin to rise.
Meat in excess will spill-over into insulin.
Fat is in the neutral area. That's why you replace carbs with good saturated fats for your daily calorie needs.
That's why Fat, Protein, with carbs at the very distant bottom is the order of priority.
Please Experiment,
Barnaby
