RE: [fast5] New with question

Welcome!

I finally had to force myself to stop bingeing during my window.

It sort of made me mad that I really couldn't eat 'whatever I wanted' during
my window; that I still had to eat wisely.

But not having to deal with that ALL DAY was a great benefit of Fast5!

Subject: [fast5] New with question

Hi, Fast-5ers! I'm new and slowly working my way through the archives.

I'm on day 4 today, and I started on Monday cold turkey. My window is
3pm-8pm.

While I love that I am not on an energy roller coaster all day long, and I
no longer need coffee which I thought I was addicted to, I am having trouble
controlling myself in my window!

I know that that feeling of bingeing is supposed to go away....but I would
like some people to verify that it will, indeed, go away!!! My weight is
exactly the same as it was on day 1 (thank goodness) but I'm just worried I
will GAIN weight if I don't get this figured out!

I am not exactly eating the best things during my window, either. I think
it is the fact that I have been dieting for the last year, and one of the
biggest draws to fast-5 is that I might be able to eat foods that I have
deprived myself of over the past year and still maintain or lose weight.

I've lost 40 pounds in the last year doing a combination of hCG and low
carb. My issue is keeping the weight off while eating foods that I love.
Plus, I am at a weight that is still not my ideal weight...I'm at 145 (5'
5"), and according to the charts in the book I should weigh around 125.
That's also the weight I look best at. Even though I could live with 145
for the rest of my life, I would like to lose at least 10 more pounds and
keep it off.

So please, experienced fast-5ers, tell me that the need to binge will go
away! And that I will NOT gain weight on this plan. AND that I don't have
to be as vigilant with the things I am eating during the window as I had to
be when eating at society's "normal" times.

Because if I'm just going to have to NOT eat all day and then ONLY eat diet
food during my window, I will be disappointed!

Thanks for your words of wisdom!

Virginia
