RE: [fast5] Heather....going off grains

Heather

Are you saying that your brain stopped functioning and you started getting
inflamed joints when you went off grains? Or from eating grains?

How long did you try it for? If you go off grains there is a definite
"withdrawal period" for some people ... it took me 2-3 months to get my
sanity
back. I didn't even stop eating ALL grains, just wheat/barley/rye.
But my brain just stopped functioning, which convinced me that
those grains, at least for some people, have a druglike effect.

Which shouldn't be too surprising because they do affect the blood/brain
barrier (and MRI scans of kids that have gluten issues show
brain changes after the kids eat gluten). Also during this
period I started getting inflamed joints, to the point I could
barely walk. This appears to happen to a fair number of people
... one research person surmised it's because the cortisol gets
down-regulated when the body isn't fighting "the enemy"
so much.
