Howdy all. I've tried a variety of intermittent fasting approaches over the last few years, including Fast5. One thing that concerns me is that I went to an alt. health place last year, and they didn't like fasting because of the strain it puts on the adrenals. I am somewhat hyperactive, I am really sensitive to caffeine and I often have trouble falling asleep, so I worry about anything that would imbalance my adrenal system.
Do y'all thing this is a valid worry for Fast5 or fasting in general? Adrenal strain is something that develops over a period of time, so it would be hard to know unless you studied people fasting for years, right?
One thing I'm considering is just tracking some data on different diets and whether they affect my sleep. Like do Fast5 some days, and eat normally other days, and see if I fall asleep later on the Fast5 days. That would at least tell me if it had short-term negative effects.
