Rey's suggestion is a good one, I think. If you backtrack some of my posts, you'll see that I segued into a FF-type WOE a decade ago (long before I'd ever heard of FF) via eating fruit and raw veggies ad libitum through the day, and a "normal" meal in the evening. It was originally my own version of a weight-loss plan, and it was effective. This type of approach is in effect the warrior diet - very light eating during the day, with the bulk of nutrition in the evening. Then, without ever pushing it, I just found eventually that I was eating less and less of my bag of goodies until ultimately I was water-fasting during the day. Like your situation, this was whilst carrying on a demanding work role, and also working out each morning.
Our physiology needs time to shift out of its customary patterns, and each individual needs time to experiment with how their body responds in different situations, using different feeding schedules, and with adequate adaptation periods. The "warrior" strategy is certainly worth a try as a gentle intro to the FF WOE.

Maybe you should investigate the Warrior diet, which allows you a minimal amount of selected foods during what would be your fasting period in F5. Quite a few people start out on WD and progress to F5.

Subject: [fast5] Long timers?
If anyone on here doing F5 has been steady with it for more than a year AND has had great success... I love to hear from you. I've been back and forth with this and have even posted the issues I have on this forum and have not had any success finding a solution... was hoping that maybe someone out there would have some advice that would help.
Basically, I was getting too spaced out and unable to think, not sure what it was, all I know is I can't function when I'm like that... I need the mental power in order to do my very demanding job... I really seemed to lack that when I don't eat... then there's the spaciness after I do eat at 3:00.
Anyway... if I can get around that issue, I would LOVE to start up F5 again... I loved it other than than. Blood pressure went down, lost weight, cholesterol numbers looked great... my doctor was thrilled. He did not have a problem at all with the plan and said we all eat way more than our body needs anyway.
Thanks!
