I've been wondering the same thing. I think it mostly depends a lot how many calories are in the kombucha. Some commercial kombuchas are mixed w/ fruit juice for example, the Synergy ones I get at Whole Foods are ~80 calories. Maybe ok if you drink it over a few hours, but that is still a decent # of calories.
But if you have a kombucha that is only 10-20 calories, I don't think that will impact the fast.

I am doing great, but I am having trouble fitting all the healthy things I need to eat within the six hours. Do you think that Kombucha would cause a digestive response or more of a fasting response? Is it closer to food (& calories) or water?
