Re: [fast5] Long timers?

I have completed 5 months on FF and have lost 68 pounds.  I've never noticed any spaciness or lack of concentration.  I do limit calories with this plan, and basically eat only once a day, with a 23-hour fast.  I very much enjoy my main (only) meal, sometimes eating breakfast foods, other times a big salad with boiled eggs, and most often a cup of hot soup followed by a plate of fish or chicken with veggies.  I eat a light dessert (sliced fruit) 2-3 times a week.

My weight loss fluctuates, of course, but over the long term I average 1% of my current weight each week.  I make sure to get at least 45 grams of protein per day.  My only health "issue" is constipation, and this is because I simply cannot eat enough fiber within my caloric limitation.  The only thing I can do about this is to take stool softeners, which I do about one or two nights per week.

I intend to stick with Fast-5 intermittent fasting until I either:  a)  reach my goal weight; or b) find that I'm no longer losing weight.  If the latter happens, God forbid, I will switch to the Atkins diet.  I keep this backup plan in mind because, like you, I don't see many folks who have done FF all the way through for really BIG weight losses like my own.  (I'm trying to lose more than half of my beginning body weight, a total of 158 pounds.)

So far, so good, though.

If anyone on here doing F5 has been steady with it for more than a year AND has had great success... I love to hear from you. I've been back and forth with this and have even posted the issues I have on this forum and have not had any success finding a solution... was hoping that maybe someone out there would have some advice that would help.

Basically, I was getting too spaced out and unable to think, not sure what it was, all I know is I can't function when I'm like that... I need the mental power in order to do my very demanding job... I really seemed to lack that when I don't eat... then there's the spaciness after I do eat at 3:00.

Anyway... if I can get around that issue, I would LOVE to start up F5 again... I loved it other than than. Blood pressure went down, lost weight, cholesterol numbers looked great... my doctor was thrilled. He did not have a problem at all with the plan and said we all eat way more than our body needs anyway.

Thanks!
