[fast5] Re: Hello! New Here - Question..(The Beans Trick).

I'm actually a vegan for ethical reasons, so animal products are right out - Perhaps many may not agree, but...
I center my diet around leafy greens, nuts & seeds (almonds, flax and chia are staples), fats (LOVE coconuts & coconut oil!!!), unsweetened almond milk, a little fermented soy, and a really amazing raw protein - easy to digest, 18g protein/3g carbs/3g fiber per serving. Every so often, I'll have tofu - usually if I'm going out to eat, but I try not to overdo it on unfermented soy.
Aside from garbanzo beans. I'm not real big on beans, so I don't eat them frequently, but I will have the occasional black beans or lentils.

Barnaby: Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on garbanzos and hummus?

I have no problem with the fasting window. Today, I experienced no hunger pangs whatsoever. I only ate a bit at 6:00 because I was headed to yoga and had to run errands, and wasn't sure I'd have time to eat a little something before my window closes at 10:00.

I know via experience that it simply can't be as cut and dry as "calories in vs. calories out", but you know so many insist that's it's as simple as that (oh, and you should eat 6x per day).
It's so frustrating to hear or read: "just need to burn more than you consume", and if you're not losing weight you must be cheating or not exercising as much as you claim. I've literally had people tell me, "If I ate the way you do & exercised, I'd be a stick." Hmph!

Thanks again for the responses. I'm really enjoying the daily fasting!
