RE: [fast5] Re: Diabetics - shout out! (groundnsky)

Thank you for this shout out.

Do you feel you've changed the food you eat?

Are you using insulin?

Hi, Karen.

I'm diabetic - diagnosed for at least 8 years but probably with it much
longer than that. Type 2.

And yes, my numbers are coming down nicely -- all of them. I had a small
spike today in my fbg, but you know how BGs can be, a cold coming on,
hormones, or just the unexplained mysteries of the condition can set them
off sometimes.

What I'm finding with fast-5 that I didn't expect is that my postrandial
numbers don't get as high as I was used to, for what I'm almost positive are
exactly the same foods. And I'm only on day 21 (and I cheat all day long
with cream in my coffee.)

These lower pp readings are very exciting and make me hopeful about the
possibility of reclaiming my good health and retaining it for a long time.
I tend to agree with those who believe the worst damage happening to our
bodies happens with high postprandial numbers.
