Anything that is five calories or less per serving is okay. It won't disrupt your fasting chemstry. Must sugarfree gums and sugarfree mints are okay.

Re: [fast5] (unknown)
-----Original Message-----
A lot of people I know don't eat breakfast and I was one of them. I've starting telling them that I am now eating breakfast and dinner, no lunch, and there by spacing my meals more evenly apart. You'd be surprised how many people buy that! I work in the health field and if my co workers knew I wasn't eating for 19 hours, they'd have a fit!
I have a question about gum and mints. I know it says in the book absolutely no calories during the fast. Do gum and mints really wreck the process or just create cravings? I chew sugarless gum and /or mints. I also do very low carb- I try to stay under 20 a day. I've been doing fast 5 for about a month and go up and down with weight within 5-6 lbs. I really would only like to loose about 10lbs. Is it the gum or just that I don't have that much to lose? I do love this way of eating. The simplicity of it is amazing!
Thanks, Beth
