H.Z. -- I use a 5 - 10 window during the week, since I usually get home from work between 5 and 5:30. Works perfectly. On the weekends I try to stick to the same schedule, but I'm finding that I like to move the window to 3-8 or 4-9, depending on my activities and/or hunger level. If I'm home all day, I tend to get hungry earlier for some reason. Maybe I'm not distracted enough, like I am at work.
As far as foods, I eat low carb, but I find I can sneak in a glass of wine with dinner once in a while and it doesn't affect my weight loss. Always try to eat healthy foods - junk food is never good for you - and tends to make you overeat.
