RE: [fast5] (Beth - gum)

Hi, Beth.

I found myself having many pcs of SF gum in a day; i'd created another addiction.

I did a little study on the glycerol (glycerin?) in the gum i was chewing and decided i didnt need any of that in my system, either.

i'm proud to say i've gone - now - 9 days w/o gum (i find myself falling off that wagon on the weekends)...

I have a question about gum and mints. I know it says in the book absolutely no calories during the fast. Do gum and mints really wreck the process or just create cravings? I chew sugarless gum and /or mints. I also do very low carb- I try to stay under 20 a day. I've been doing fast 5 for about a month and go up and down with weight within 5-6 lbs. I really would only like to loose about 10lbs. Is it the gum or just that I don't have that much to lose? I do love this way of eating. The simplicity of it is amazing!

Thanks,  Beth
