I exercise in the fasted state before 1pm most days. It doesn't matter if I work out in the morning or mid day. But then again, I have been a very active individual for 2/3 of my life. I am a 1st Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, lift weights, play racquetball and otherwise play whenever I can. Once in a great while I will feel the need for food before a workout, in which case I may eat some jerky or other light snack. Also, I eat a very low carb diet - generally under 30 gm/day. My body has plenty of fat fuel stores with which to use (although I am only about 5 lbs overweight). The idea that we must always eat something before exercise is a myth, at least for me. My window is also between about 2 - 7pm.
Best wishes to you. I think you will gradually adjust.
