RE: [fast5] (Bert) Re: New member, curious, welcomes feedback

This topic fascinates me, I’m so glad you asked Karen, I’ve been hearing everywhere it seems that if you don’t eat three meals plus a day, your body’s metabolism will slow down and you won’t lose any body fat, which seems illogical and scientifically impossible to me.  Just this week heard the “Biggest Loser” trainers say it AND the Today Show “experts”… maybe my problem is too much media!

I’m glad to see your statement below Dr. Herring, thank you Karen!

Always appreciating reading your input, Bert!

Is your statement below really true?

Just on the surface of my mind (which, unfortunately, is where I function
from most of the time!), it seems to me that some people, when restricting
calories, their bodies will refuse to give anything up...

How can both happen? (bodies refusing to give up fat and your stmt)

... Your body must consume energy to be alive, so it cannot and will not
avoid using fat as fuel if your calorie intake is below your calorie usage.
