Re: [fast5] Kidneys

It is permissible to drink water and tea (unsweetened, or, Stevia sweetened, for example) in the non-fasting periods.  This would keep your kidney's in good order.  Namaste!  Pamela

Is there any concern that daily 19 hour fasting or fast weight loss would lead to kidney damage?   Has this concept been around long enough to not be concerned about kidney damage?

So far, after only a few days, this has eliminated my all nite binging and I have had absolutely no problems sticking to the schedule.  The only challenge has been the first 2-3 hours after my last meal.  Since I used to skip breakfast, the schedule has been perfect for me and no problem waiting til after noon to eat.  I have found that I can't "stuff" myself, and after eating my first meal of the day, plus a few hours of "snacks", I almost have to force myself to eat one more meal before the 5 hours are up.  Our scale is not that accurate, but I'm sure I have lost 5-10 lbs; however when starting diets in the past, the first 10 lbs has always been easy.
