Personally, I think the safest lard, these days, is that which you render yourself.  Below is a site that goes into excellent detail for you.  It’s easy,  it tastes much better, and is healthier for you.  Namaste!  Pamela

FULLY hydrogenated oil is not the same, from a trans fat point of view, as PARTIALLY hydrogenated oil.
