RE: [fast5] Wow

i have been eating high fat for about 2 months, so i'm sure it is the fat you are getting that is helping you to feel satisfied.

keep that number high (and of the good fats) and you'll be doing fine, i bet!

Yes Karen, that's the experiment I described - since Tuesday of last week that's all I've been eating.  Until today, that is: today I have had some roast beef too.

Karen

no, I'm not tracking, but I have a pretty good idea: 8 eggs, and about 2 oz. of fat.  Could be 1.5 or 2.5 oz. of fat - not sure!  But in that region.

Hope that helps!

Hi all,

I'm conducting an experiment on myself.  This past week (completed tomorrow) I have eaten nothing but eggs (protein) and fats.  I did this because I was/am desperate to shift some weight, but the unexpected result was that I have, for the first time, experienced absolutely NO hunger whatsoever!

I always ate low-ish carb, never any sugars / grains / starches, but I would normally eat my vegetables and quite a lot of them, in salads as well as cooked.  Adding up to perhaps 80-100g of carbs per day.  Now, this past week, I've eaten about 8 eggs per day and as much fat as I wanted, i.e. butter or coconut oil for scrambling eggs, mayo on hardboiled eggs.  I'm getting tired of eggs and will probably allow for other proteins next week, but the way I feel as I do this is nothing short of a revelation.

Now I don't think I can (or want to) do this forever, it's probably not too healthy, but it's not going to kill me to carry on for another month or so.  I'd love to feel like this forever.  But I'll probably start adding in a salad per day, perhaps come November.  For the moment, I just love this freedom... no hunger, ever!  Granted, the food is less than exciting, but the point for me right now is that I'm finally losing weight and that my 19-hour fasting window couldn't be better: I never even think about food.  I could carry on fasting much longer, it feels like - and I never felt that way.

Awesome!
B
